Healing Heat

Our hot studio utilizes infrared heat rather than forced heat. Infrared heat directly penetrates tissues, muscles, and joints, allowing them to heal and regenerate through a combination of increased circulation, oxygenation, and detoxification. Impurities are released from your body as you sweat, creating a deep, detoxifying cleanse on the cellular level. Infrared heat also increases metabolism as it burns additional calories necessary for your body to maintain a consistent temperature. Infrared heat waves also carry many health benefits including:

Yoga is an ancient practice designed to heal physically, emotionally, and mentally.  As a sustainable practice that challenges without overstressing your muscles, joints, and nervous system, yoga provides long-term health and fitness benefits. Unlike other forms of movement, a dedicated practice can offer relief from anxiety, depression, and energy imbalances.  The teachers at YLC have been trained in traditional yoga methods with strong, rooted lineages.  We believe in the healing benefits of yoga itself and its sustainability as a practice. With the right programming, you will become stronger without the need for additional weights or interval training.

Yoga fitness and healing are not mutually exclusive. Our program is built to integrate all the benefits of yoga while honoring exactly where you are at any given moment.  Yoga provides the tools necessary to navigate your body, emotions, and thoughts; tools such as breathing techniques, energy use, focus, sound healing, and other principles are integrated into our offerings. Our diverse offerings enable each student to honor, discover, and hone the teacher within. Every practice is a revelation of a deeper strength and courage; revelations that serve as reminders that sustain us even off of our mats.
